Solido S1803001 FORD GT40 MK1 #9 – 1968 LE MANS 1/18

Exceptionally, the 38th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans took place in September following the French unrest of May 1968. Ford engaged their GT40 that was at the time the favourite following two consecutive wins during the mythic Sarthe race. The number 9, in the hands of Pedro Rodriguez and Lucien Bianchi, were victorious the following day, after 331 laps. The Gulf livery definitively became part of the GT mythology from that day onwards.
